Erlend is Optimeering Aqua's "potato-employee", versatile and assisting where he is needed from mathematical questions to helping customers get more out of their production through Bioplan. He has a M.Sc. in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology with a specialization in optimization. He has seen the real benefit that different AI-technologies can provide and use this insight and knowledge in aquaculture to drive the change from experience driven to knowledge driven farming. Erlend loves spending time with his wife and three daughters, and tries to also find time for some gaming and running.

Yunfei works as a modelling analyst of Optimeering Aqua. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, Valenciennes, where he gained strong experience in operations research, intelligent decision support system, implementing models and algorithms. He has worked in different continents (from Asia to America) and tries to import the exotic atmosphere and oriental philosophy into the team. Yunfei enjoys spending time with his family and plans to do more sports.

Penelope leads the development of the mathematical framework of Optimeering Aquas modelling efforts. She has a Ph.D. in Computer Science / AI from Institut Nationale de Sciences Avancées de Lyon (INSA de Lyon) / IBM Center for Advanced Studies France, Paris. Penelope is Optimeering’s language wiz, speaking Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and Norwegian (in addition to Python, C, C++, Java, Scheme, OPL, Matlab, Axiom, R, Google Refine and Oracle). Penelope enjoys yoga and spending time with her family outdoors.

Conrad holds a System Architect position at Optimeering Aqua building out our cloud environments, automation and continuous delivery stacks. He is a native from Cape-Town, South-Africa and has a background in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science. Conrad has been doing Cobol programming at banks, Java Enterprise development, system administration, system architecture and building highly available multi-active compute and data platforms over multiple geographical regions. Conrad has a passion for all things IT and enjoys building out collaborative shared solutions keeping up with leading edge cloud technology. He enjoys tinkering with embedded linux in his spare time and is a rookie game dev with aspirations to release an indie game in 20 or 30 years. Spare time is spent with his family, nature, reading and Aikido.

Mattias splits his time between updating and improving Optimeering Aqua's it-infrastructure and solving the deeper mathematical/algoritimic challenges of the aquaculture industry. He has a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and Management from Linköpings University in Sweden, where took a deep dive in to mathematical modelling, quantitative analysis, optimization, simulation, stochastic processes, numerical analysis and software engineering. Mattias enjoys gaming and the occasional Lidingaloppet/Stockholm Marathon.

Per develops Optimeerings Aqua's tech stack and integrates artifical intelligence into our decision models. He has an education in Biotech Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology and has done research in Bioinformatics at Stockholm University. He started his first company in software development at the age of seventeen and has worked in many different IT roles since then. Per spends his spare time playing musical instruments, doing recreational programming, and playing board games with his family.

Erik works as Customer success manager responsible for implementation and support for Optimeering Aqua’s customers. He has a M.Sc. in Marine Technology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology with specialization within Aquaculture. He has previously worked as a delousing specialist and General manager for one of the largest Aquaculture service vessel companies in Norway. His spare time is spent playing and composing music, training and hiking.

Benjamin is a modeling analyst at Optimeering Aqua, specializing in decision modeling under uncertainty, optimization, forecasting, and statistical modeling. He holds an M.Sc. in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology) and a Ph.D. in Operations Research from NHH (Norwegian School of Economics). With extensive experience in techniques for summarizing risk in complex operational situations and developing models for effective planning under uncertainty, Benjamin is highly skilled in his field. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active through skiing, hiking, and running.

Juan's passion is for making applications and data easy to use and understand. He is an experienced software engineer with deep knowledge of Python (Django, Flask), C# (.NET), and Javascript (React, react-native). Juan is no lightweight in the core technologies of Optimeering Aqua's algorithms with a master's in Operations Research from Federal University of Pernambuc in Brazil and a Bachelor in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello from his native Venezuela.

Darek is Optimeering Aqua's full-stack designer combining both a strong design background with skill for coding and a strong technology background. He is fond of simplicity and clean structured design, consistently pushing for creative innovation, efficiency, precision and technical excellence. MSc Electronic Engineering from Szczecin Polytechnic. +10 years of experience working with biggest corporations (Daimler, VW, Adidas) in Germany and Switzeland.

Maksim has a special eye for detail and good looking applications. He has strong background developing user interfaces as a software engineer using javascript based web frameworks. Original from the far east city of Russia Vladivostok, he moved to Sweden to join Optimeering Aqua. Maksim has the company's highest ELO rating in 7 Wonders

Juan Pablo is originally from the Basque Country, a land renowned for its culinary delights. His journey in the world of data began soon after obtaining a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering, a milestone that marked just the beginning of his continuous learning path. Over the years, Juan Pablo has crafted cloud-based software solutions for various industries, including manufacturing, airlines, a competitiveness institute, and a market research company. His diverse experience has shaped him into a seasoned expert in delivering innovative solutions that drive efficiency and success. When seeking relaxation, Juan Pablo immerses himself in his passions for cooking, hiking, reading, and traveling. But in the end, what he enjoys most is putting his brain to work.

Cato guides the sales process at Optimeering Aqua, facilitating our innovative solutions to the market. Drawing from a diverse international career and strategic roles in various industries, his passion is creating value, fostering business growth and nurturing customer value. He holds a MBA degree, and Bachelor of Commerce & Marketing. His passion for experiencing and learning about cultural differences has taken him to almost 80 countries around the globe. Away from work, Cato spend most his time with his family, but occasionally find time for a round of golf or hitting the ski slopes.
